Manned by first generation Directional Drillers, SESL brings extensive experience to the Directional Drilling service. Our Managing Director, has over 27 years of practical Directional Drilling experience gained while working with allthe major International Service companies as well as SPDC as a DD Consultant for 5 years. His wealth of experience has been transferred to all SESL trained DDs and is readily available to provide technical support where necessary.

SESL has a fleet of Positive Displacement Motors with varying specifications (i.e. low speed – high torque; high speed – low torque) to match most drilling applications.

A unique feature of our Directional Drilling Services delivery is our 2D RSS system. This involves running a high torque – low speed PDM coupled with a Hydrastab Adjustable gauge Stabilizer to provide a low cost alternative to conventional RSS systems. This system has proven to be technically efficient in the loose British formations where 3D RSS systems do not meet expectations.
